"Did you enjoy touching my face, Franky? You did react rather suddenly."

Franky hadn't exactly enjoyed the awkward silence that had hung between Robin and himself, but almost as soon as he heard Robin’s next question, he found that he may have preferred the silence after all. Trying to force back a blush, the cyborg placed the empty cup of coffee on the floor and folded his arms, rather unsure of how to respond to Robin’s inquiry. There was no way of telling how she would react if he said either yes or no, and he couldn’t have simply sat there and not said anything (even though he certainly would have liked to). After a few seconds of rapid thinking, Franky decided to instead come up with a fair compromise – “A bit. Did you?"

"A bit." A mirrored reply and she smiled into her cup of coffee. "Would I have allowed it, otherwise?" The faint click of glass to glass and Robin set her cup and saucer on the floor as well. "What do you suppose that could mean?" Another faint smile that actually tugged the corners of her mouth.

"I suppose it could mean a lot of things."

"Oh, very many things." Robin silently shifted a barely precipitable amount, not even an inch closer to Franky. "It could mean I do rather like your hands, Franky. It could mean that I am very curious as to how well the rest of your body is put together." She paused, glancing at the man once again. "Or any number of things. Is this the part when I ask what you think it means?"

"I'm starting to think it means you want to see my hands again." The shipwright said, having finally gained back at least a little bit of the confidence he seemed to display so very often. Internally, he was wondering just what exactly it was she meant to imply when she mentioned wanting to see how the rest of him had been put together. But for now, he supposed working towards acting like something that wasn’t a bumbling idiot was more important. Quietly, Franky reached for one of Robin's slender, delicate hands and held it in his own, large one. "Is this what you wanted?" He asked, a small smirk playing on his lips.

Robin thought that Franky was doing a brilliant job of ignoring her question and her eyes flickered from Franky's face to thier hands, and back. "Why, Franky, are you clairvoyant?"
